Air and Heat Solutions is an Oviedo company. Our base is on Foxcroft Circle, so when an Oviedo homeowner calls, we’re not driving in from across the county. We repair, replace and maintain central air conditioners and heat pumps in homes throughout Oviedo and the neighborhoods around it.

What we see most in Oviedo homes

Clogged drain lines and water leaks

Oviedo’s humidity means your AC pulls a lot of water out of the air every day. When algae builds up in the drain line, the water backs up, trips the safety switch or ends up in a ceiling or closet. It is one of our most common calls. See why AC drain lines keep clogging.

Older systems in established neighborhoods

Much of Oviedo was built in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, and plenty of homes still run systems that are 12 to 20 years old. Some older units use R-22 refrigerant, which is no longer produced and is expensive to recharge. We’ll tell you straight whether a repair makes sense. Read our guide on whether to repair or replace an older AC.

Leaves and debris in the outdoor unit

Oviedo is full of oak trees. Leaves, pollen and mulch pile up against outdoor units and block airflow through the coil, making the system run hotter and longer. Keeping about two feet clear around the unit and cleaning the coil during maintenance helps a lot.

Hot upstairs rooms in two-story homes

Many newer Oviedo homes have two floors and a single system. If the second floor never cools down, the cause is usually airflow, ductwork or attic heat rather than a broken AC. See why your upstairs is so hot.

Oviedo neighborhoods and nearby areas we serve

Permits for AC replacement in Oviedo

Replacing a central air conditioner or heat pump in Florida generally requires a mechanical permit. Homes inside Oviedo city limits are permitted through the City of Oviedo; homes in unincorporated areas nearby, such as Black Hammock and Chuluota, go through Seminole County. As a state-certified contractor, we handle the permit for replacements we install, so you don’t have to.
